What is VisiForm?
VisiForm Standard Form Creation Software is a full-featured electronic form software solution for creating and using electronic forms. VisiForm provides layers, resources, drop down lists, formatted fields, image control, 17 drawing tools, 26 distribute and align tools, scripting support with integral code editor, integral units of measure, field formatting, a built in database for multiple record forms, an advanced property sheet for complete access to all of the form object properties, and much more.
VisiForm Standard Form Creation Software creates the most powerful electronic forms with the smallest file size, making them easy to distribute to customers and constituents over networks. Form templates created with VisiForm Developer Standard Edition can be optionally compiled with the included POP!Form compiler. POP!Forms are small, self-contained, self-executing files that contain all of the form's functionality and data. POP!Forms do not require the installation of any software, making them easy to distribute across the Internet or corporate intranet. Users can run the form and fill in the data simply by launching a single file. POP!Forms can also send their data back to a pre-defined email address at the click of a button, for data collection and processing.

What different versions of VisiForm Form Creation Software are there?
VisiForm Standard Edition includes two software products, VisiForm Designer, and VisiForm Filler. VisiForm Designer is a professional electronic form design and programming tool, where you can design sophisticated form templates, including embedded fonts, images, and scripting. Templates that are created in VisiForm Designer are used by VisiForm Filler to create the actual forms that are filled in by end users. The template is like a cookie cutter, and forms that are created in VisiForm Filler are like the cookies. One form template can be used in VisiForm Filler to create many form files.
Normally in a company, a small number of form designers will create and test the form templates for the whole company using VisiForm Designer. Everyone else will have VisiForm Filler installed on their desktop and laptop computers so they can use the templates that were created by the designers.
When You purchase VisiForm Standard Edition, you get software and licenses for both Designer and Filler. You can also purchase copies of VisiForm Filler separately.
What is a POP!Form?
POP!Forms are small, self-contained, self-executing files that contain all of the form's functionality and data. POP!Forms do not require the installation of any software, making them easy to distribute across the Internet or corporate intranet. POP!Forms can also send their data back to an email address at the click of a button, for collection and processing.
POP!Forms are compiled forms so you cannot open them in VisiForm Designer and make alterations. Neither can your customers! (That's the whole point!) POP!Forms can contain scripting, embedded fonts, graphics, and all of the features available in VisiForm Designer.
Do I need a software license to use a POP!Form?
NO! POP!Forms are compiled forms that can be opened with the click of a mouse. You can make form templates in VisiForm Designer, compile them into POP!Forms, and freely distribute them to friends, club members, business associates, constituents, and everyone else you can think of without having to worry about licenses.
Can I create POP!Forms and sell them to others?
If you want to create and sell POP!Forms to customers, you must first obtain a license to do so from Primary Software.
How can I have a POP!Form email data back to me?
After you have designed and tested your form in VisiForm Designer, click on File, Create POP!Form in the menu bar. Click the Return tab, and check the "Enable e-mail return" box. Now add the email address you want the data returned to, provide a subject line (usually the name of the form), and select the text you want to appear on the button that the user will click to return the form. You can also add your own custom button text. The button will be added to the POP!Form toolbar. Click Ok.
Now when the POP!Form is run, clicking the Submit button will automatically email the compiled data back to you. Simply save the form attachment to disk and open to view the submitted data.
Can VisiForm Standard Form Creation Software create an electronic form by scanning an existing paper form?
No, VisiForm does not "automatically create an electronic form from a scanned paper form." But in our experience, neither can anyone else.
If you have tried products that create forms automatically by scanning, you know that they can only be used on very simple forms.
